Get Involved!

Not That Kind Of CIC are proud to partner with a diverse community of volunteers and charities across Great Britain in our mission to develop a thriving arts and music scene in Lincolnshire.

We’re always looking to work with people to bring out the best in our communities – and it all starts with people working together. Whether you’re an organisation looking to collaborate with us on a project or you’re hoping to volunteer with us, we’d love to hear from you!

FAQ’s

• What exactly is NTKO?

NTKO is an idea born from rejecting the notion of ‘fitting in’ – we celebrate authenticity and individual growth by providing opportunities for young people to discover themselves without fear of being judged. We’re Not That Kind Of CIC because we understand that not fitting in shouldn’t mean being ignored and forgotten – we aim to provide a safe place to anyone who feels alone, neglected, or misunderstood.

• Is this a charity or a business?

We are a not-for-profit limited company, set up to provide community benefit with assistance from community grants. This means we’re able to raise funds ourselves to help our community directly! As a Community Interest Company, we can receive funding from both private and government endorsed bodies to help grow local culture and community spaces and promote positive mental health for young creatives in Lincolnshire.

• How can I get involved?

We’re always looking to collaborate with people to help bring our vision to life! You can get in touch with us using the ‘Get Involved’ form, or email us directly at enquiries@notthatkindofcic.org.

• Where are you based?

We are currently based in Lincolnshire, and most of our events, workshops, and festivals are in the Lincolnshire Area.

• Who do you work with?

We work with music, arts and entertainment businesses from across England, as well as charities and mental health professionals from across the UK, to bring creative events and mental wellness spaces to young people in Lincolnshire. We also manage a curated network of individual volunteers that help us with our events.

• Can I donate?

Yes, we’d love that! We currently accept Paypal and Patreon donations, as well as cash donations at our events. All donations go directly into our community action fund and are used exclusively to bring mental health and creative opportunity events to young people in our community. You can also donate your time or expertise to the cause by getting in touch and letting us know how you’d like to help.
